Today will be a day that is going to be remembered as the day where our point was proven. The day the people of America realize that the own president of this country is motivating its supporters to go against the democracy of this country. The day people of America realize that the color of our skin is seen as a privilege or used against us. The day people of America realize that having the wrong person as president can lead to many mistakes not only for the society of today but for upcoming generations as well. The day people of America realize that politics are dividing us into two groups making us rivals instead of uniting us as a community.

Wednesday Morning — Wednesday Night (January 6, 2021)

Wednesday morning president Donald J. Trump hosted a gathering with his supporters in Washington not that far from the White House. During the gathering president Trump stated “We will never give up. We will never concede. It will never happen. You do not concede when there’s theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore.” Trump was “fueling” his supporters into interfering with the democracy in this country and try to get things done his way. Right after the gathering Trump supporters marched to the US Capital. At some point during noon the Trump supports managed to break into the US Capital. Resulting in a woman being killed as well as having the Senates and Representatives evacuated. It took authorities several hours to get the Trump supporters out of the US Capital and even once they were taken out, they continued to “protest” outside the capital late at night and even after the curfew was given to them several of the “protesters” still stayed outside the US Capital.

Wednesday Night; January 6, 2021 (11:38PM)

It is currently 11:40PM on Wednesday night several hours after the incident occurred in Washington. I was in my third period class when I start receiving notifications from Apple News and The Wall Street Journal with the headings saying “A mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters’ storm into the US Capital building” at this point in one laptop I have my online classes, on another I have the latest news playing and on my phone I was reading the latest articles on the events. I was totally zoned out for the rest of the day, but as I started watching the news and videos of reporters, I started realizing many things and I am not going to lie I was angry and disgusted. I started to notice that this was not a “protest” it was a riot. I did not see the National Guard act until hours later, they were also not sent by the president but in fact Mike Pence the Vice President. Right away you could see a difference in how the president acted against this group of people. Trump saw them as “peaceful protesters” never did he demand the National Guard to take action, he never demanded for them to shoot the “protesters” with rubber bullets or be thrown tear gas at, in fact he supported/defended them and stood with them.

If this would have been a Black Lives Matter protest, Trump would have said it is “dangerous”, Trump would have called it a “riot”, Trump would have had the National Guard act immediately and have arrest people who are peacefully protesting, Trump would have had rubber bullets shot at protesters and have tear gas thrown at them, Trump would have preferred seeing Black Lives Matter protesters wounded and killed instead of seeing people his own race dead or arrested, TRUMP WOULD FORCE AND INSURE WE STAY QUITE! Trump just proved our point that this country is not equal and just by our race and color of our skin it determines a lot weather we matter to him or we absolutely do not, and he gives zero fucks about us.

This event is going to be something that stays in the history of the United States and it will be in history books for future generations to learn about, so they are aware about what happens when the wrong person is put into office and they do not make the same mistake we did. I cannot emphasize this anymore than I already have, but we still need change and our first step is taking Trump out of office. I am not saying this is going to change our whole system, but it is small progress we are going to make and from there we must strive for a better country.
